Activation goes in order of pilot quality, allowing the better pilots to control the situation and force lesser pilots onto the defensive.

I really enjoy your game design series btw, keep up the great work - I think you're always spot on with your observations :)OPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17838843857577671893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8394074963215462822.post-17333085704086287032019-01-03T15:49:47.781-08:002019-01-03T15:49:47.781-08:00I played X-Wing and although it is a 2D game, as a...I played X-Wing and although it is a 2D game, as a game it's quick, simple, fun, and stylish. His stories of air combat were mostly relating how the speed, height, and position of his plane versus his enemy's plane. In one of his kills he actually thought it was going to be him being shot down due to him moving so fast that he couldn't get his sights on the target before coming out in front of the enemy plane, but because the pilot didn't know my grandpa was there (detection!) he made a wide banking turn which allowed my grandpa to take a wider banking turn in the pilots blind spot until he had bled off enough speed to get the German plane in his sights and shoot him down.

Bottom line - from the perspective of someone who has spent years of his life hearing dogfight stories from a WWII pilot (and his buddies when they were still alive) you've nailed the tradespace of aerial combat.Lord Frederickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17699726863859635307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8394074963215462822.post-71648361573525431142019-01-03T07:10:06.603-08:002019-01-03T07:10:06.603-08:00Have you tried 'Target Locked On'?
